You are too kind
…
I will check out their website today and probably make a purchase since you gave such a great testimonial. I don’t find too many people up here who have seborrhea and eczema so I’m glad you took the time to comment.
You are too kind

yes I have been …
yes I have been diagnosed with seborhic dermatitis and eczema skin and scalp. Before their shampoo my scalp was white very often and red from the seborhea and eczema irriation. My redness is now gone after just three uses of the rosemary and then herb garden has already helped some hair that I loss as a result of the dermatitis start to grow back. I understand u want to be sure it will work. If u do decide to check them out I’d be willing to get samples for u. I know how hard it is

I haven’t tried …
I haven’t tried their bars but I have heard of them. Do you struggle with seborrhea as well? When I purchase something I want to make sure it really works for the actual condition. Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into these

you really shouldnt do the selsun blue or head and shoulders all that sodium lereth sulfate can and will actually make it worse I’m speaking from experience

Thanks for …
Thanks for commenting. I think nizoral worked well for me as well but it dried my hair out so bad. I hope to find some natural ways of dealing with my scalp issue cause those other shampoos only offer temporary relief.

Thanks for you comment. I agree with you that there aren’t many studies regarding the black community and our skin.

your too cute and …
your too cute and too adorable. I think alot of black people have it and just call it danfruff
wee call everything danfruff many black people don’t have alot of studies done for blacks especially in terms of skin studies. my scalp is of and on and I can not use any scented shampoos. J crew lime conditioner and shampoo then sebrezze that is good I find. Many shampoos kill my scalp. I just use dax to grease. I do not braid my hair. braiding always breaks me out. but I twist. swist don’t strain

when you do go buy …
when you do go buy the selsun blue get the medicated kind and just work it in real good. Scratch your scalp lightly do that for about 3-5 min. If you don’t get the medicated sulfur 8 try that instead of the original sulfur 8.

Thanks for …
Do you let the shampoo sit on the scalp for a period of time or do you just apply and rinse?
Thanks for commenting! So many people have suggested the selsun blue. I will definitely be trying it out after I finish off my head & shoulders (I bought a BIG bottle). I have found that the off brands are cheaper in price than the real thing and they have the same ingredients

my daughter has …
my daughter has seborrhea in her head and I use selsun blue on her hair every two weeks for the huge flakes in the middle of her head. she really has it bad. Selsun blue does a wonderful job it even makes her hair grow b/c of the flakes are not there. Try it and you will love it .FYI a little expensive compare to other shampoos. Way better then head and shoulder.

I’ve had eczema for years and years

I just recently …
I just recently started using organic apple cider vinegar to help with the flakes and itching and it seems to be working, I can’t say the Psoriasis is completely gone because I have only been using the vinegar for about 2 weeks. But, I do see a very big difference. Saturate ur scalp with the vinegar & water, place a plastic cap on ur head for 1 hr. You will see a differnce, so you may like to try this & GOOD LUCK.

This may not solve …
This may not solve ur problem, but it did seem to reduce the itching and the flaking. I found that by leaving T-gel shampoo on for at least 1/2 an hour to 1 hr will help with the flaking, also make sure to condition your hair after every shampoo to due the dryness you will experience.

You can purchase it …
You can purchase it at any CVS pharmacy or Walgreens! and yeah, all the extra stuff will just irritate if you have our condition! i find that the key to helping the problem is Zinc, which head and shoulders has a formula with zinc added and so does the gel psoriasis lotion i was talking about! all i do is wash and condition, then wait until it drys, then i put cantu leave in conditioner on my hair and im good until the next wash! cantu made my hair so strong…and doesnt irritate my scalp!
Comment by sippysq — October 14, 2009 @ 4:10 pm
I totally agree …
I totally agree with you! My scalp produces enough oil on its own that it doesn’t need anything extra. All that extra stuff just irritates it further. Where do you purchase the gel you mentioned?
Comment by dovedarby — October 14, 2009 @ 4:10 pm
hey buddy, what i …
hey buddy, what i use is dermarest psoriasis gel! its for your face and all but i put some on my hair line and with in 2 days its solves my problems! in a week you will see no trace of it! I also use head and shoulders shampoo!
I find that people like us dont need to oil on our scalps or to use heavy products, We just need hair creams and hair lotions! Use Cantu shea leave in and it is the best thing i ever found! also we gotta wash like 2 or more times a week or our scalp gets uncomfortable!

I have used …
I have used everything from head and shoulders to t/sal and nothing seems to work so i think i will have to see a dermatologist.

I found that using …
I found that using head & shoulders shampoo has eliminated the flaking and itching. I say use it daily until the flakes and itching subside then reduce usage to 1x per week. For eczema, unrefined shea butter has worked wonders on my face. So I say give those things a try. Also if youre able, make an appointment with a dermatologist. They can definitely help you figure out options that suit you best. Thanks for the question!
