Eczema – Hair & Skincare Products Which I’ve Found Beneficial

After receiving several request from people to do a video on the products I use to take care of my crazy Eczema battered skin (LOL), I finally got my butt in gear and recorded it :)

Please keep in mind that none of these products cure Eczema. They are purely things that I’ve found to soothe the symptoms. They don’t prevent flare-ups, they merely make it all a bit more bearable.

  1. Oh and also, just …
Oh and also, just wash your face with lukewarm water and a soft washcloth. You don’t want to do anything that might inflame the already irritated skin. Be as gentle as possible.

If it doesn’t calm down within a few days, please ask your parents to take you to a doctor!

  2. Sorry to hear you …
Sorry to hear you have eczema on your face :( Talc absorbs the moisture and oil, which is really bad for already dry and supersensitive eczema skin. You really cannot use it as a primer.

I think the best thing to do is to not wear makeup or anything at all on your face for several days until it settles down.

Maybe look into mineral makeup such as Everyday Minerals? It works for me :) Maybe you can show it to your parents and they can have a look at the website!

I don’t know if you can buy online, but I just Googled Calendula Oil and it seems there are quite a few online shops in the UK that sell it :)

The cream is good too, though not as concentrated as the oil.

Hey Suzy :) just wondering where you got the calendula oil from? is it just the pure oil and do you find it helps at all? I think you should make more eczema related videos as i have not found many people on youtube who talk about their condition and what remedies they find helpful! Thanks :)

  19. Thanks for the tips …
Thanks for the tips :) I’ve tried african shea butter, but unfortunately it didn’t eliminate my eczema. It is very moisturizing though :)

African black soap is better for oilier skin types as it can be quite drying.

But if it worked for you, then that’s fantastic! Every person is unique! :)

Try african shea butter…the real unrefined shea butter. alot of people say it has elimated their condition. african black soap is another soap thats works for itchy, irritated skin. both works wonders

Yes I have :D It’s lovely, but I actually found it a tad bit drying. I like the Castile & Calendula soap better! And my second favourite is the Grapeseed Shea Complexion soap :D That one is fantastic for washing your face with. Facial brush + Grapeseed Shea Complexion soap = heaaaavenly!

Sorry to hear it’s the tea tree is so irritating for you :( For me personally, I can’t say that it’s irritating at all.

But everyone is different and it could be that you’re allergic to tea tree.
